ACTIVITIES

The Faralya Hotel is a pleasant walk from the sea at the nearby village cove.

Widely known as the Turquoise coast due the exceptionally clear blue waters found in this area, the sea provides many opportunities to swim, snorkel and dive as well as numerous boat trips to visit local attractions such as Butterfly Valley and St Nicholas Island.

The Lycian Way, Turkey's first long distance footpath passes directly behind the Faralya Hotel and together with other local marked pathways this provides a wide range of walks to suit all abilities.

Horse riding facilities are also available a short drive away and there are also opportunities to tandem paraglide from the nearby mountains overlooking Olu Deniz.

Local buses or taxis can be taken from the hotel to Oludeniz and Fethiye. Olu Deniz is a lively beach resort with many shops, markets, bars and restaurants as well as a lagoon considered to have healing properties.

Fethiye is a thriving market town with a 16th century turkish bath, ancient rock tombs, fish and vegetable market, excellent seafood restaurants, carpet shops and a busy marina with nearby cafes and gardens.

A little further afield are the historic sites of Xanthos, Tlos or Pinara with archaeological remains such as temples, amphitheatres, mosaics and tombs from the Lycian, Greek and Roman periods. Our staff can help you arrange taxi trips to all these sites.
